Justin Sandler PGA Golf Professional
I'm originally from Swansea, South Wales. At the age of 19, I embarked on a journey to become a personal fitness trainer at UCLA in Los Angeles. I went out to the States with a 9 handicap and never even contemplated becoming a professional golfer. Over the next year or so I studied Sports Pyschology, which I then took to the golf course. During this time, I got my handicap down to 6 over 8 months and then down to scratch over the following 4 weeks. I shot 6 consecutive rounds of 65 to achieve my target. I achieved the accolade as most improved golfer in California for the year and it was at this point I wanted to pass on my knowledge on to fellow golfers.
After completing my course, I moved back to the UK and worked for the highly experienced Jason Neve at Cams Hall in Fareham, Hampshire for 4 years, where I completed my PGA Diploma. I then plied my trade around Hampshire before moving up to Buckinghamshire to work at Gerrards Cross Golf Club. I worked there for 5 years and built a fantastic relationship with the members who supported me with endless amount of lessons. I have now worked for Foresight Europe for 11 years
My hobbies outside golf are Spending time with the family, football and Tennis. I captain a local tennis team and play at least twice a week. I also spend hours watching my beloved Swansea City whom I've supported now for 45 years, and now my whole family have become Swansea fans.
Now just turned 50 I have started playing competively again and playing local and national events
Hope to see you all very soon.
Happy golfing!
